FOR the third time this Summer, Great Britain women are in France this week preparing to compete against some of the best domestic teams in the Venus Cup in Marseille.
They will play three games in three days as part of the tournament, which is an important part of the preparations for the 2012 Olympics in London in less than a year.
They begin their campaign with a match against Handball Plan de Cuques on Friday, August 26, at 8.30pm, before taking on Nimes on Saturday evening (6.30pm).
Their final match will be against Toulon on Sunday afternoon before the closing ceremony and their return to Crystal Palace.
The tournament will also give the coaching staff a good opportunity to run the rule over their squad before preparations begin for their 2012 European Championship qualifying match in Montenegro in October.
